“As far as pregnancies go, I feel extremely fortunate in that I’ve had a relatively smooth ride so far. I feel energetic, haven’t been nauseous or sick in any way and honestly at times forget I’m even pregnant (cue guilty feeling for all the mommas who I know SO do not have this experience!!).  While my experience so far has been filled only with excitement and happiness, as I start heading down the home-stretch of my first pregnancy, anxiety and self-doubt have started to kick in with the realization that the road ahead I know won’t all feel as easy as the past 7 months.  But then I’m quickly reminded of how blessed I am to be surrounded by women, whether they be friends, family or other moms online, who are now, more than ever, sharing the raw and uncensored truths about parenthood, offering their unconditional support and encouragement. It’s not all going to be perfect, and that’s perfectly OK. I’m incredibly grateful to join this community as I become a mom and only hope I can give back as much advice, inspiration and love as I’ve taken from all the kick-ass moms in my life.”

Motherhood is hard, it’s raw, it’s lonely, and it’s exhausting- oh so exhausting. It’s full of worry, fear, and doubt. But most of all motherhood is beautiful. It’s warm, it’s proud, it’s gratitude, and it’s magical. It’s full of patience, laughter, and joy. It’s a fierce love that no words could ever describe. Becoming a mother changed my life, it made me whole. With each of my baby’s births a new mother was born, and I am eternally grateful they chose me. They are all of me.”

“Motherhood is the most unselfish role a human is capable of. From the moment a mama finds out she is pregnant, there is an immediacy to put someone else’s health and happiness ahead of her own; it’s instinctual and overwhelming in every conceivable way. I have this new level of respect for myself, as a whole, mind and body, and for women in general; we are warriors.”
